megapariah asked: Curious, what do you have against Jung? Without him, MBTI would not exist at all.

Whenever I think of Keirsey, silent rage and a lust for bloodshed boil somewhere within me. However, I have nothing against Jung. His theories are the calm, serene sound of sanity in an imaginary room full of HURR DURR WHAT ARE COGNITIVE FUNCTIONS CAN I HAZ A CHEESEBURGER. My url and the reference in my bio are just prime examples of my undeniably bad sense of humor.

If I could stroke Carl Jung’s face with newborn kittens, I would. And I’d weep with joy afterwards.

Your type is not an indicator of your intelligence, creativity, talents or uniqueness.

That’s all. Now go home and play some Scrabble.

Some of these MBTI posts make me cringe.

facelessbeauty:

“INxx’s are introverted intuitives!”

NO, NO, NO. INTP and INFP are not dominant intuitives. INTP is primarily an introverted thinker, and INFP is primarily an introverted feeler. They don’t even use the introverted intuitive function. Their intuition is extraverted. INTJ and INFJ are introverted intuitive dominants. Take a seat.

J types are more organized than P types.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. False. Not all J types are like that. The letters don’t even mean that much. J and P tell you which function is extraverted. J means that T/F is extraverted, while P means that S/N is extraverted. Take a seat.

Feelers are whimps and excessively emotional.

Hahahaha not all of them. Fe and Fi don’t just involve feelings, but beliefs, morals, and convictions. People seem to forget that. Fi users can be very guarded about their true feelings because they don’t want to share them like Fe users would. Some feelers can actually be quite cold, especially when you try to change them, when you harm something that is important to them, or you do things against their values. Don’t mess with feelers, they’re not as delicate, fragile, and weak as people make them out to be. Take a seat.

NT’s  are so heartless/cold.

False. They’re just less likely to show seeing as Fi/Fe are either their tertiary or or inferior function. They care about things, you just don’t need to know that. If people were that cold, we wouldn’t be human at all. We’re not robots guys.

Oh and all this typism needs to stop. No type is superior or inferior to another type. You’re all missing the point of MBTI. You’re supposed to use it to understand yourself and others better, not stereotype others and create new stereotypes for you to live up to.

Eeyore - Fi (Introverted Feeling)
Looking very calm, very dignified, with his legs in the air, came Eeyore from beneath the bridge.“It’s Eeyore!” cried Roo, terribly excited.“Is that so?” said Eeyore, getting caught up by a little eddy, and turning slowly round three times. “I wondered.”“I didn’t know you were playing,” said Roo.“I’m not,” said Eeyore.“Eeyore, what are you doing there?” said Rabbit.“I’ll give you three guesses, Rabbit. Digging holes in the ground? Wrong. Leaping from branch to branch of a young oak-tree? Wrong. Waiting for somebody to help me out of the river? Right. Give Rabbit time, and he’ll always get the answer.”
Introverted Feeling is concerned with finding purpose and worth of things, and deciding when and when not to say something. Eeyore feels like he really understands everyone else, but he feels isolated because nobody seems to understand him. Because of this, he concludes that he is unimportant, and therefore he feels there is no point to anything he does. And because he feels it is fitting that he feels the way he does, no amount of help from his friends will cheer him up, because he chooses to feel the way he does. He knows this, which is why he is always forgiving when his friends neglect him.

An interesting forum for discussion.

This place taught me most of the things I know about MBTI. Great forum.

Anonymous asked: are you familiar with enneagram and variant stackings?

Sure. I mostly focus on MBTI, but I’ve studied them a bit, too. Enneagram more than variants. They’re both interesting, and sort of ‘personalize’ the typing experience in a very compelling way. I’m still unable to figure out whether I’m a 4w5 or a 6w5, though.
